AD Project: Creating from home

A fun project where the aim was to increase awareness on how Epidemic Sounds music licensing model works, but by doing so in an easy, entertaining and relatable way. The challenge was to make this dry ass topic of music licensing just that, entertaining.

When writing I wanted to keep it close to home, as this was catered mostly to the main customer base of Epidemic (the small time video creator) but also it was produced in a time where we as a collective worked from home more then ever, and what the challenges with that might be — without it being an overused image of a person working in a shirt but with no pants on.

Production wise the script came with some practical challenges, the first day we worked with a dog, second day we needed a coke bottle to explode in a very particular way, and the third and final day the video centered around a toddler. Each to its own different challenges but empowering when we nailed them all and for me as a director on a shot of this scale for the first time, felt so so good.
